We’ll be honest, we’re just a little operation. There’s me, Nic and the dive dogs. We can’t really afford to have loads of stock sitting on the shelf. We know this means you might be disappointed if you can’t get your scuba gear straight away – it might even mean that you have to go somewhere else if you’re in a rush to get it for your next dive. We understand, and we’re hoping that with your support to help us grow, we’ll be able to have more items in stock in the future!
On the positive side, running our stock cupboard like this means you’ll receive fresh gear directly from the factory – not items that have been sitting around collecting dust in some big warehouse. We also hope that our unique customer service makes up for the few extra days it takes to get your products to you.
What does it mean if an item is on back order?
If an item is back-ordered, it means that we don’t have it in stock, but we can order it from the manufacturer, especially for you. As soon as your order lands in our inbox, we get in touch with our suppliers, find out how long it will take to get your order sorted, and we’ll drop you a little personalised video message to update you.
To give you an idea of delivery times and how it works with our suppliers:
- Aqualung and Apeks: We get stock updates by email within 24 hours. Your products then ship from their depo in France and will arrive at Honest HQ within 1-2 weeks.
- Fourth Element: We can see their stock online in real-time. Your order leaves their UK factory and arrives to us within 2 days.
- Nautilus Diving: Covering multiple brands including XDeep, DIRzone and Miflex, we get stock updates after a quick phone call. Your order arrives from their UK warehouse within 1-2 days.
- Reel Diving: Covers many brands including Shearwater, Santi, Halcyon, Suex, Avatar, Ammonite and Shark. We have live stock access, and their distribution centre is in Sweden. Orders arrive to Honest HQ in about 1 week.
- Garmin: We have real-time stock access and orders ship from the UK within 2 days.
