This is definitely a mask to try before you buy. If you’ve got a pea head like me, there’s a good chance this mask will be huge on your face!
A superbly soft inner skirt moulds itself to your face, achieving a close and comfortable fit.
XDEEP have achieved this incredible fit through completely rethinking and redefining the shape of a traditional mask and using the advanced modelling technologies to turn our ideas into reality.
Technically speaking, when they were designing the XDEEP Radical mask, they analysed the weak points of current dive masks and then developed and tested advanced 3D printed models, refined with feedback from literally hundreds of divers of all face shapes and sizes. Adding the 3D modelling to the softest silicone ever used in a dive mask delivers outstanding comfort and performance.
-
Blind spots created by traditional mask designs are minimised in the XDEEP Radical mask, especially in the most critical directions.
- Not all of us dive in warm clear water. In the chillier climates, we have to manage our gear in thick gloves, wet or dry. Simple in application but thoughtful in design, the mask has been optimised for great grip, whatever your hands are in. Equalise with ease.
- No compromise on keeping minimal internal volume, but with care and application, we have created extra space where most people want and need it, around the nose area. You’re welcome.
- Large volume masks can be uncomfortable and harder to clear, equalise and are prone to fogging. By minimising the internal volume we eliminate all these issues.
- The glass in the XDEEP Radical frameless mask is the purest glass ever used in a dive mask. The glass we use has no iron oxide impurities that create a green tinge, commonly experienced in other masks. This ensures that the natural colours come through brilliantly. Of course, if you dive in colder, greener waters, you will now know it’s true colour!
