Shipping Options at Honest Diver: What You Need to Know

07th November 2024 By Jim

Websites always say things like “Your order is important to us”, and “We value your custom”, but we really do mean it. We do a little dance every time an order drops in our inbox. We wrap your parcel up with love, send it on its way with our delivery drivers and drop you a little video message to keep you updated. We probably look at the tracking more than you do, we’re only happy when your kit safely arrives on your doorstep 🙂

Here’s a rundown of our shipping options and how we manage each one.

In-Stock Orders: Quick Dispatch (Excluding Weekends)

We promise we will do what we can to get your new scuba gear to you within these order processing cut-off times:

  • Royal Mail Orders: Orders are shipped the next working day.
  • UPS Orders: Orders placed before 1 PM are shipped the same day.

This applies Monday to Friday as there’s no posties or delivery drives around Honest HQ on a weekend! If you miss the cut-off or place your order on a Saturday, Sunday or Bank Holiday, your gear will ship on the next business day.

Your Shipping Options

You’ve got a few options to choose from, depending on how quickly you need your new kit:

Royal Mail

  • Royal Mail 24: Aims for next-working-day delivery, with some areas including Saturdays.
  • Royal Mail 48: Expected to arrive in 2-3 working days, though it can occasionally take a bit longer, especially during busy periods. If it seems delayed, just let us know, and we’ll look into it.

UPS Standard & Express

  • UPS Standard: Usually next-day delivery in the UK, though it may take up to 2 days.
  • UPS Access Point: Same as Standard delivery, but they will leave it at your nearest pick-up point which will come up once you proceed to checkout and enter a delivery address. It works out a bit cheaper and can be more convenient if you’re not at home.
  • UPS Express: This option is next-day delivery by 12 PM – great if you’re in a rush. Remote or non-mainland areas may take a little longer.

Free Shipping on Orders Over £50

If your order is over £50, shipping is on us!

  • Orders Between £50-£100: Typically shipped with Royal Mail 24, which usually arrives the next working day (and some postcodes include Saturdays).
  • Bulky Orders or Orders Over £100: We’ll use UPS Standard. This is usually a next-day service but can take up to 2 days depending on your location.

For orders under £50, you’ll get to choose your preferred shipping option at checkout.

Need an Upgrade? We’re Flexible

If you’d like to upgrade your shipping, no problem. Just add a note at checkout or email us at hello@thehonestdiver.com as soon as you place your order. We’ll work with you to find the best fit.

Tracking and Handling Delays

We know how frustrating it can be when you’re waiting for your parcel, especially if it’s taking longer than you expected. Once the courier has your order, we put all our trust in them to get it to you on time. Unfortunately, things can occasionally go wrong. We keep an eye on tracking for all orders but if you think there’s been a delay, just reach out, and we’ll follow up with the courier on your behalf.

  • With UPS, we can usually get in touch with the local depot and sort out any issues quickly, often within 24 hours.
  • Royal Mail, on the other hand, has the approach of wait and see so may take a bit longer to get clarity on the order status. They require up to 7 days from the expected arrival date before declaring a parcel as missing.

If you’re on a deadline or worried your order might not arrive in time, let us know. We’ll do what we can to resolve any issues and come up with a solution that works for you.

We try to keep you in the loop as much as we possibly can. If we miss something or you’re not happy please get in touch, let’s have an open and honest conversation to make things right 🙂
